Getting People Started – An Example

Jan 27, 2011 / ‘Get Started Tips’

I received the following from 1st level Master Coordinator Joanette Coogan. Mike and Jo are very strong and solid Master Coordinators.

Jo takes notes better than anyone I know. If I wanted to find out what I talked about at a meeting 20 yrs ago….she could find some notes.

This message concerns follow up — and what she wrote is very accurate — as that is what I did with everyone. Hope there is something here that can be helpful to you.

Cashing The Check!

Jan 17, 2011 / ‘Get Started Tips’

Seth Godin writes…

“A check in your wallet does you very little good. It represents opportunity, sure, but not action.

Most of us are carrying around a check, an opportunity to make an impact, to do the work we’re capapble of … that would make a difference.

The opportunity to step up and to fail (and then to fail again, and to fail again) and to continue failing until we succeed — is greater now than it has ever been.”

As we begin a new year… with renewed hope of better, more prosperous days to come, it would be wise to follow this advice from Mr. Godin…

“Step up and to fail (and then to fail again, and to fail again) and to continue failing until we succeed.”

If there is a secret, this is it!

I Never Feel Like I’m Ready?

Jun 23, 2008 / ‘Get Started Tips’

I just love getting question from serious builders who want to grow like crazy …

This one came today form Maria Polacki …

“I can’t seem to get my fire started.  I love Shaklee and I love thinking about the possibilities but I can’t seem to get it all put together just right.”

Well Maria, it seems you have the dreaded …

So let me give you clue #1…

Time Freedom—The New Currency

Feb 2, 2006 / ‘Get Started Tips’

More people are making more money today than at any time in history, but most have no time to enjoy the fruits of their labor because all their time is spent on the labor.  Like it or not, most people only believe what they can see.

If you are new to Shaklee and just getting started, you might be saying to yourself … I'm new and I don't have any proof to show.  First, that is where we all begin in this business … brand new with nothing to show.  That's why you talk about, and show proof of, what your upline has done and is doing.

Your upline is all the poof you need to show.  Your upline did it, they are helping you do it, and your upline and you will help them do it too.  But ….

The sooner you become the example of success that you are talking about to others, the sooner others will follow your lead because you become the proof of someone they know … that the Shaklee business works!

Put the Blinders On

Feb 2, 2006 / ‘Get Started Tips’

You have two choices … put your big toe in the water and make a half-hearted effort … or … put the blinders on a go for it!

My advice … look straight ahead … avoid all distractions … get totally committed for a minimum of 180 days. When something or somebody gets in your way, get re-focused on your goal and keep moving forward.

When you come up for air six months from now, you’ll have a business with the potential to pay you lifetime residual income. If you choose to the toe-in-the-water option … chances are you’ll just wind up with a wet toe!

Building Belief

Feb 2, 2006 / ‘Get Started Tips’

Belief is the moving cause of all action. I firmly believe the #1 job of all Shaklee leaders is to build the belief of their prospects and business builders. I am convinced, this job never ends. Even the most positive people get down from time to time. Doubt creeps in.

Everybody (including the leaders) … needs someone to take help them get off the mat when things are not going well.

If someone in your group is struggling or stuck … check first on their belief system. Here is where you will typically find the problem.

STMA-Short Term Massive Action

Feb 2, 2006 / ‘Get Started Tips’

“Massive action is something that takes place in someone who has gotten over their fear.”

The one thing you can do to guarantee success is to put your game face on and for the next 12 months … and take some serious action.  I call it, STMA … Short Term Massive Action.[...] More »
